Hollywood Beach Florida parking
One of the nice things about Hollywood Beach is that it tends to not
be as crowded as Miami Beach or Fort Lauderdale Beach. However, on holiday weekends and special events,
parking can become difficult. The ideal central parking spot if you arrive early is the Johnson Street
parking deck. The next best still fairly central parking location is the Garfield Street parking garage
just a few blocks north of Johnson Street. There are also a good number of parking spaces near the
Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort as you enter A1A off Hollywood Boulevard. Another location with ample
parking is the North Beach Park on the north end of Hollywood Beach. There are also parking spaces along the
numerous side streets off A1A but these tend to get taken rather quickly. If all of the above locations fill
another option is to park at Anne Kolb Nature Center off Sheridan Street on the mainland side of the
intracoastal. Note that if choose this option, you will have to cross the drawbridge on foot which might be
uncomfortable for some inidividuals especially children. Just north of Hallandale Beach Blvd off A1A is
parking near the Weston Diplomat Resort & Spa.
If parking anywhere other than a parking garage, it is recommended you pay
for ample time for your beach stay. It is easy to underestimate how long one plans to spend on the beach
or at a special event, lose track of the time and then come back to your car with a $20 parking
ticket. Better safe than sorry as attendants are vigilant.
Alternatively, you can just park in downtown Hollywood at the 19th Ave parking garage or at
the ArtsPark and catch the trolley to Hollywood Beach. The City of Hollywood trolley has pickups
approximately every 30 minutes (stops at major hotels, parking garages, parks in downtown Hollywood and along
Hollywood Beach)... http://www.visithollywoodfl.org/hottrolleyschedule.pdf
If you are coming from Fort Lauderdale Beach, another option is the Water Taxi
